Delivery, Exchanges & Returns
I want you to be absolutely delighted with your Blossom & Bluebird wedding veil. Because all of my pieces are handmade to order, please review my policies below regarding returns, exchanges and cancellations.
By placing an order, you are confirming that you have read and agreed to all the information below.
~ CREATION TIMES ~
I make every wedding veil myself, entirely by hand, especially for you. See my current creation times here.
Orders are made and sent on a first ordered, first made and shipped basis, unless you purchase the 'Rush Order' option alongside your veil.
~ RUSH ORDERS ~
If you need your veil fast, purchasing the Rush Order will put your order at the front of my order queue, and will upgrade your shipping to the fastest method.
~ SHIPPING INFORMATION ~
Your veil will be made to order (see current creation times) and will then be sent to you.

Over the past decade I have shipped thousands of my handcrafted wedding veils to brides all over the world, so I have more than 10 years of experience in getting your precious veil delivered to you safely and quickly. Your veil is in the safest of hands. Every month I send wedding veils to brides in the UK, Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and all around the globe.
I send your veil to the delivery address on your order. I am not responsible for undelivered parcels where the address on your order is incorrect, so please take care to ensure the delivery address is the right one. If you've accidentally placed your order with an old or incorrect address, it's no problem - just let me know straight away so I can amend it.
If a parcel is returned to me due to an incorrect address provided at checkout, the buyer will be responsible for the cost of re-shipping.
UK SHIPPING:
I send my standard orders FREE via Royal Mail Tracked 48 with signature (2 working days). It's a fully tracked service with options to change your delivery options while the parcel is in transit, and a signature is required on delivery.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
I send my standard orders FREE via Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed or FedEx International for most orders (approximately 3 - 7 working days to Europe and 5 - 7 working days to most other countries including the USA and Canada). A signature will be required on delivery for most parcels except Aus, NZ, Singapore, China, HK and Japan - for delivery to these countries, you can choose the Tracked OR Signed For service.
Instead of placing a standard order, you have the option of placing a Rush Order to receive your veil in the fastest time frame.
IMPORTANT: For standard orders, I cannot guarantee exact delivery times unless you request expedited shipping (I use Royal Mail Special Delivery, UPS, DPD and FedEx Priority for brides who are in a hurry). This is at additional cost - please contact me for more info.
Fabric samples take me 2-3 working days to prepare and are then sent to UK customers via Royal Mail (approximately 2 days), and to all other countries via Royal Mail standard airmail (3 working days to 1-2 weeks, depending on location). In very rare cases samples sent overseas may take up to a month to arrive. Samples are sent via standard untracked post, unless tracking is requested (this is at additional cost).
~ CUSTOMS CHARGES ~
Delivery to the United States: For all veil orders placed on or after 26th February 2026, I am delighted to offer a seamless, fully inclusive service. All import tariffs and customs duties are now pre-paid for USA brides before delivery, ensuring your veil arrives at your door without any unexpected local fees.
International Delivery: I am honoured to send my veils to brides all over the world with complimentary shipping. All orders are shipped with the true value declared on the customs form. For those outside the UK and USA, the importing country may charge the buyer customs duties, taxes or tariffs. As these are managed by your local authorities, they remain the responsibility of the recipient, but I am always here to help with any guidance you might need.
If customs duties are unpaid, the importing country may destroy the shipment. In this instance, I am unable to offer a refund as the item has not been returned to me.
If an item is returned to me due to unpaid customs duties, a restocking fee will apply.
I am not responsible for unforeseen delays due to Customs holding your parcel for longer than usual. Delays at Customs are unfortunately out of my control, so please ensure you allow extra time when you order your veil.
~ CANCELLATIONS ~
You may cancel your order for a full refund within 6 hours of purchase. After this time, materials have been ordered meaning production is underway, so a cancellation won't be possible.
~ RETURNS & EXCHANGES ~
If you've purchased a standard veil that's not included in the Final Sale list below, and it's not perfect for you, then you can return it to the address at the bottom of the page within 30 days, for an exchange or a refund. So take your time trying it on with your dress, or at your hair trial. Please just take care to ensure your veil remains in immaculate condition during this time.
All my veils are personalised with the bride's choice of veil comb, sometimes wrapped in satin ribbon matching the bride's hair, and despite the personalisation these are all considered standard orders, so they are exchangeable & returnable.
Items exempt from return (Final Sale):
CUSTOM ORDERS - these are bespoke, one off, unique veils created especially for you i.e. they are not one of the standard veil styles available to buy on my website.
VEILS PURCHASED WITH THE "ADD A BLUSHER" LISTING - these veils are custom orders, as they are a standard veil style that's been modified on request.
"PURE FRENCH SILK TULLE" VEILS - I buy the silk tulle at high cost for each veil when the order is received, and I cannot send the fabric back once I have made your veil. Please ensure you order fabric samples and choose your length and colour carefully.
LACE VEILS - due to their intricate nature and the time they take me to hand-sew for each bride.
JULIET CAP VEILS - are made according to your own head size via a measurement provided by you after purchase.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights in the event of a faulty item.
Please note that as each of my veils is individually handcrafted to order, slight natural variations in the lace placement or stitching may occur. These tiny differences are a hallmark of the handcrafting process, and ensure that your piece is truly unique and made just for you.
How to initiate a return:
To ensure your return is processed quickly, please email hello@blossomandbluebird.co.uk to notify me of your return.
Conditions for return:
- Veils must be in their original, unworn condition and in the original packaging.
- Veils that have been worn (apart from "trying on" briefly indoors), or veils that are soiled or damaged, cannot be accepted.
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. I recommend using a tracked service, as I cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.
- IMPORTANT - if returning your veil from overseas, it is crucial that you clearly mark your parcel "zero value - customer return", so that UK Customs authorities do not add fees to your parcel when it arrives back in the UK.
Refunds:
Once your return is received and inspected, I will process your refund to the original payment method within 5-7 business days. Please note that the Rush Order fee (if applicable) is non-refundable. Customs duties, taxes or tariffs originally paid by the buyer are not refunded. I am not able to offer a refund after the date of your wedding has passed.
Replacement veils are subject to my standard creation time (see the Current Creation Times page), unless you purchase the Rush Order listing for your replacement veil.
In the unlikely event that your veil arrives damaged please contact me immediately with photos of the outer and inner packaging, and with photos of your veil, so I can help.
